Hiten Paintal born 19 December 1978, is the son of veteran actor Paintal. Hazel eyed and brimming with confidence, Hiten Paintal made his debut in the musical, ‘Tere Liye.’ Born a Sagittarius, he was brought up in Mumbai and went to college at MMK, Bandra. Quite an intelligent individual, he has done Computer Graphics and Animation, and was planning to go to America for further studies but as destiny would have it, he landed up in movies. Actually, before going off to the States he took up a personality development course and enrolled himself at ‘Kishore Namit Kapoor’ Acting Classes (which belongs to his uncle).

He dropped his plans to go to America and started concentrating on making acting his profession. Hard work did reward him when he landed an important role in ‘Tere Liye’, which is his debut performance in Bollywood. He played Dev Prakash Tandon (DT) who is a musician. The film is about an upcoming music band.

Hiten is very adventurous and loves swimming, playing snooker and racing cars. In other words, he is someone who likes the ‘living on the edge’ kind of a lifestyle.

He has also done a TV serial called ‘Yeh Hai Mere Apne’ where he plays a handicapped character similar to Dustin Hoffman’s role in ‘Rainman’.
